Progress has been a bit slow lately, But I'm getting there ........... We nw have the cockpit pretty much done and the dash, such as it is, the cockpit will go in when it's fully dry and then the dash. Most of it will get hidden by the canopy so I won't detail it too much. The sides are on....... and I'm I rather happy with the rusted deck.......... and I've decided to build it in transport mode rather than fighting mode. I'm hoping I can adjust the figures to be seated in the cab and on the rear bench.

Hi peter

Been a while since I last saw this as I been in hospital a lot but heh you are making very good progress on this and out with the new look and giving it that rusted effect is really well done ( seems you got that just right eh )

I'll have to get that formula off you for future projects.

Awesome so far can't wait for more

Easy..... It is rough surface. Grey Primer, a coat of Camo dark Brown, some of ``er indoors hairspray and a thin coat of Dark Blue Grey. A good scrub with a green scourer and two coats of Brown Mig Filter.......... One rusted iron surface............Job done.

The vehicle is best part done. Just the windscreen to go on (the glazing is missing so I'll use a bit of acetate), a couple of decals and some tools (they are painted and ready)............ I splashed a bit of mud around as the base is going to have a load of it, "Spring thaw in Russia"...... A bit of pigment and we are done............

........... Onward with the gun.

Hi peter,

Very impressed with what you have achieved here with this kit really well done. Don't know if you knew that there were gate supports on the rear of the work area that could be deployed when gates dropped down

I have pic if helps explain east I mean ( think you could scratch build ????

Thanks Robert ....... Comments much appreciated. If you mean the bit I've circled in red. They came in the kit and are on the tailgate of the model........ I think they represent the folded up ladders and ladder supports for when the sides are down. The kit gives both options on the ladders.

I took some of the mud of the wheels and front fenders....... It was a bit hefty, and I've run oround it with some dark brown pigment and a "flatcoat"....... I'm really quite happy with it now. I'll put a couple of coats of gloss on the few areas that need decals, then fit those .......... Then a few more photos.

Well the vehicle is finished...................Just the gun to do now........... and maybe the figures ??? But that'll depend on:

A) If my USS Hornet Kit shows up .............. and

B) How much inspiration I still have when I finish the gun and the base.

Any comments most welcome.
