The Disney's Mater

Hi friends!

Every day, I have the sensation; I’m founding my place on the modelling world!

After my recent work, I’m discovering that really like to do similar builds like the Pink Panther one's, Sci-Fi items or different things like the John’s sign.....in a few words, build a weathered and dusty Sherman bores me every day more.....

Who don’t know this lovely character from the Disney factory? :P

I found it the other day on my friend’s shop. A little child wants to play with it, and he opens the box and builds it quickly, anyway the child leaves the model on the shop. So here I am!! With this lovely Airfix kit and full of wishing to do a paint work on it, a little challenge :smiling3: the first idea was to build it at the movie car GB, but now I have the opportunity to do a first attempt.... ;)

Hope you like it!

Now that is something different Polux, pretty sure you can come up with something outstanding for this.

Thanks chaps ;)

Is really small!! I forget to post the "international size" photo

Do the rusty and chipping effect at this scale, will be a funny challenge :smiling3:

Thanks again!

PS: Next year a Cars movie GB :smiling3: :smiling3: :smiling3:

Something a little different, after seeing what you did with the SAS vehicle, I'm sure you will bring this little chap to life in no time Polux :smiling3:

Hi all!

After three days of hard and intensive work..... I have been dissembled this complex kit, with his entire PE and about 483 pieces. O_o

Well...the message is: don’t try to do it, if you are not an experimented master modeller, and of course, keep away from the children.

The second step.

After a few sand works, I paint the first coat of primer (German grey/Vallejo).

I don’t do any kind of pre-shade because will to it later, over the rust coat.

Thanks :smiling3:

Hi Moni.

By the moment is only the primer coat. I have to say, the German grey primer is my best option, when I need a "strong" surface where to work hard (chipping/streaking grimes/etc..). I don't usually use varnish.

I will wait tomorrow for a dry coat, then I will try a "new" kind of pre-shade that I see on a French modeller. His result was superb, will try to imitate it :P

Tomorrow will be the D day :smiling3: :smiling3: :smiling3:

I think this kind of pre-shade is only valid for a rusty colour, but not really sure....
