So i did a thing, all a bit what iffery, British for a change too.
I got 2 x Spitfire 1a kits from the Airfix make and take at our show and proceeded to create the Supermarine Serpent NF1, our possible answer to the Blitz, and to supplement the Beaufighter NF1.

Grafted the two together, created the central elevator, added a fillet to make central wing straight on trailing edge. i used a german 1000kg bomb as the radome for A.I. MkIV.
Pilot in R/H fuselage, A.I. operator in left, with a reprofiled sleek canopy, (made from a vacformed AR.96 cockpit) ....

Flame dampers added, 2 x 20mm cannons in central wing, 2 x .50cal under each outer wing with two .303s kept in outboard wing positions. Reciever dipoles on wing leading edge added.

Some spurious decalling from spares....
Two drop tanks to add, maybe some exhaust staining to come.

A strange beast that's for sure. As Scottie asked "Is this totally from your imagination or was the design actually considered?"
Whatever you've done a fine job of this.

I suppose someone had to think of a twin Spitfire to match the Mustang and Bf109 (were there other twins apart from the He111 Zwilling?)

Whatif or not, this looks totally credible and a cracking build.

That looks great!

I know it's a 'what if?' but I think it's more of a 'why not?'

You just came up with it eighty years too late :smiling3:
