Hi John, it's a 1973 Series III, which I've owned for 25 years & is sitting in the drive, now it is a truck cab with 3/4 canvas tilt.
What kind of tank is that in your picture, it looks a Russian type.

Very nice Graeme,
Yes I believe the tank is Russian , don't know modern types myself. Just found the photo on line.

Great pics chaps

At a guess I'd say the tank is a T72 with ERA but not 100% as I'm not overly keen on Russian equipment

It’s a T-80, though it’s difficult to see here :smiling3: The big square thing on the right front of the turret, in front of the commander’s cupola, is the giveaway.

Not disagreeing with you Jakko but the T72B has an IR light on the right side of the turret and 1 can be fitted to the commanders cupola.
That's what I've dug up... unlike this tank, haha

So do the T-55, T-62, T-64, T-80 and probably others :smiling3:

Here’s a larger version:

The big, flat, square box on the roof of the turret is a notable feature of early models of T-80. Compare to this photo of a T-72:

And here’s a similar type of T-80 as the one in the mud:

Ah well there you go, thanks Jakko.
I initially thought T90 but still would of been wrong, oh well I never was one for Russian equipment! ;)
I'm off to read up and study for a bit... :nerd: :tongue-out3:
