Heres my entry for the GB , the Zvezda OT 26 russian flamethrower tank . As most know armour is not my thing , my previous forays all being in 1/76 or 1/100 ,so a 1/35 biggie ( albeit a small one ) is a step out of my comfort zone. I chose this kit because I thought it would be easy and not too complicated as its only a small , simple looking tank. Zvezda on the other hand had different ideas ! Its quite a lot of parts for a small, light tank and has seperate track links and track sections instead of the rubber band type . Ive got me some 4bo and I‘ll be asking some beginner questions along the way , so off we go comrades ! ABB512F9-0ABC-47A1-B869-A8F0C4497DA1.jpegC031D0EA-A2AD-43BC-9803-C64C2C47F1D4.jpeg

Hi Tony
Good luck with this and all credit to you for stepping out of your comfort zone. I'm sure you'll make a great job of this.

I have every confidence in you Tony........the larger size may be a plus....you could just tell yourself you're building a 1/76 scale Super Heavy Tank......all's good till you get to the tracks...uh, can't help you there bud, you're on your own with those..... :rolling:

It would appear that Zvezda have also done well out of this GB! Got to agree with Mark though. I know you usually 'specialise' in smaller scales, but that chisel is definitely OTT!

I might be using it dave , its certainly sharp enough . Its actually one of my sons general purpose chisels that ive repaired and sharpened for him . The handle had split so I glued , drilled and bolted it together . Its only really good for using as a paring chisel now or very light impact with a wooden mallet so I filled and painted the handle in gt40 Gulf racing colours just for s** ts and giggles !

Starting to take shape, how's the fit? Looks a little 'loose' at the front?

Main body all together and a quick coat of black primer. I can get some colour on the sides now before the wheels start to go on . Still not sure how to tackle the link and length tracks though , regarding the sequence of painting / assembling .99879611-1FD5-449B-8054-CB7BB579BF19.jpeg

OMG!!!!........Tony goes Tank!!!! Will there be a report on the 11 PM news??? Which channel???...........Seriously, that is a very interesting kit you are building Sir. Looks a great start so far. Oh, and don't forget to put the loo seat down on the "septic tank". Keeps SWMBO happy and you out of the doghouse!!!.........

Put the "lid" down as well.......that way she has to do as much work as you when it's her turn on the "crapper". :tongue-out3: :tongue-out2::tongue-out::thumb2:

Oh just tell her if she don't like where the lid is she can move it - we have to!
