Not sure if this has been shared here before, for me this is quite inspirational, to the point of asking local residents pages if anyone has a thyme bush that needs trimming lol

That looks fabulous. Problem is, it's likely to become the focus of any attention and draw you away from any other items you might add to your dio. But for sure I'll be going to a garden centre to get a Thyme bush - no reason why you couldn't make something smaller.

Well I have said it befor but old herb plants and hedgerows are the best source of trees for diorama.
That tree in the video looks very much a tree.
Lavenders plants are good as well. they get nice and gnarly wood when older.

No need to spend 100s on bonsai if you can make trees look like that.

Very interesting. The foliage phase is really demanding on time, nerves and superglue activator ;) .

I found heather too is a nice source to create a tree model.
