Here's a few shots of this one as it comes together. The build is done, it's the painting & weathering I'll be covering.

So far I've painted the running gear area in Tamiya red brown & then applied dark grey & blue to the upper surfaces.

Dots of light grey were applied freehand (a few went wrong!) for a dappled night camo scheme.

I've moved this one along a bit ... tracks are on (vinyl rubbish, how I hate them!) , so they still need more work.

The vision blocks I painted red to fit with the nachtjager theme. The first round of pin washes is done too.

The kit doesn't come with any decals, so I raided my Revell He 162 box! The 55 on the rear of the turret is to stop friendly fire from other nightfighters.

The photos have come out very grey, although it's much more blue than that.

Nice work Patrick on the 'Paper Panzer'. The tracks look good to me a set of Fruils are nice but can be the price of the model

Not long to the finish now.

Cheers

Cheers Paul! Fruils are lovely, but as you say their cost is just too much for me!

Thanks Tom! The gun barrel will be a medium / light grey. I made the mistake once of doing one in red primer before I discovered that the Germans used a heat-resistant paint & never red oxide primer!

Nice one, look forward to seeing that, are you thinking of putting it in a scene?

It's going to have a crew (Miniart Panzer crew in winter uniform) & hopefully some supporting panzer grenadiers. Other than that, it'll just be a simple vignette :smiling3:
