Here is my finally finished SU-152.

Based on the KV-1 chassis, it was originally designed to clear German strongpoints. However its subsequent success in taking out Tigers, Panthers & Elefants earned it the nickname of Zveroboy or ' Beast-killer '

A beauty Patrick!

I think you have nailed the general weathering and the dust effect.

Great build ;)

Thanks guys & gal! Your kind words mean a lot. It's a nice kit to build, no real flaws apart from the gun mounting

which is a tad fiddly.

It was meant to be on a base with some German prisoners, hence the ironic salute from the crewman, but I'm

not happy with them. So it'll probably stay as is.

Thanks again

Patrick

Very nice Patrick some hard work has gone into that. Very artistic with the weathering.

Just do not know how you blokes manage to get that authentic rust !

Thank you John, Ron. Laurie. As far as the rust goes, I use heavy plant machinery as my inspiration. On this one, it's a mixture of sponge chipping with purple / brown paint & orangey / brown pastels on the tracks & exhaust.

Now, just a test ..

The pictures I uploaded are far sharper than on here, maybe a Photobucket link would be better...

Nope, definitely losing some resolution somewhere
