Hi all. I present to your attention my new model - F4U-1A CORSAIR from Revell. The plane of the famous pilot Lt. Cdr. John T. “Tommy” Blackburn (VF Squadron, US Navy, Ondongo, Nov.1943)

For me, this model is experimental. I tried to implement my personal improvements and modifications (I used 3Dmax for development and printed on an Anycubic Рhoton Mono X 6k 3D printer).

First of all, the Pratt & Whitney R-2800-18W engine was completely designed. I didn't like the motor that was in the box at all. I wanted to make it more detailed.

In general, I really liked the G 2800 engine. Beautiful motor. I will definitely make a separate model of it.
Therefore, the engine compartment has been completely redesigned. I made the lids open so that the engine is visible.

In addition, I almost completely redesigned the cockpit:

pilot seat (it was completely designed),

seat belts (I printed the buckles on a 3D printer, and the belts are made from strips of paper), cockpit interior, armament switches ass. gunsight and ets.

The lids of the engine nacelles of the chassis have been changed (they are completely uninteresting at Revell - just plastic rectangles, without detailing).

I also inserted exhaust pipes (I used copper pipes).

In addition, I completely cut off the outer paneling and applied the inner one.

It was an interesting job.

From the aftermarket I used dashboard from Tamiya and wheels from Halberd Models, painted – Mr.Color

Well, here is the result:
