I like it a lot , Peter.
My only niggle is with the shirt button that's way too big- but that,clearly, is the sculpt, not the painting!

Scottie - Many thanks.

Jim - The strange helmet shape is only visible from certain angles (not on the box art!) and it doesn't bother me anyway. Glad you like him.

Neil - Yes, there's another one behind the collar - really strange, as those on the shoulders are correctly sized.

Lovely finish with such a "beige" palette, loads of character and contrast, well done.

Whats next on the bench?

Hopefully the damper weather will keep the hay fever at a lower level, though I guess Summer is going to be a hay fever hot spot?

Morning Steve

An enjoyable experience painting this one, even if he's all beige. Next, a Roman.

I did a bit of research on maize yesterday and it can be very toxic to some people, so I think having a field of the stuff over the road is probably what's causing such bad hayfever.
