Hi all
Started on another WW1 bust and started with the eyes as per usual… first step was to paint the whole eyeball black…2C392013-5007-42A1-9CDA-D776E00F3EFC.jpeg
….then fill in with off white to leave a very fine dark edge to each eyeball…6495B402-B9E2-49DD-9E66-841760D5252A.jpeg
After that it’s a series of semi circles to create the pupil and iris… Green eyes this time so Dark green semi circle followed by a smaller light green semi circle on top and then a black dot and a smaller white dot as a highlight.. a touch of pink in the corners and that’s that…

it all looks a bit stark at this stage but blends in better once I get to the skin tones….
Helmet is just held with blu tax for now as I need to finish the hair and chin strap but here’s we I’m up to for now…

Excellent Jason. Face looks suitably "weather beaten".

Thanks all…it really is very appreciated!
I’ve made a bit of progress on the main figure… the leather jerkin was really well sculpted in terms of texture and was great to dry brush to get a leather grain effect!
The scarf is a bit of a nod to the Football Battalions of WW1 but I will leave it to you to decide if it’s West Ham, Burnley or possibly the Villa?

That's coming on very, very nicely indeed!

As for which team, I have no preferences as my allegiances lie elsewhere. ;)

You know when you do a search for something, and an unrelated thread of incredible talent pops up? That just happened with this superb piece of work - I'm just gobsmacked!
