Er, not sure of this is in the right section, but figured it is a early vehicle.

I managed to get a wooden wagon cheap, it needed some TLC. So, I sanded and repaired, cut and nailed and re-trimmed. I then set about making some tools out of wood and metal, these are on and it is starting to have its grubby weathered look. Painted the anvil in metallic silver then washed over with black and white-spirit and then rust dabbed to get that light rusting effect.

Started this yesterday teatime and left it while I worked on adding some features to the Aliens dio. Still loads to do and a figure and dog to add at some point.

That's certainly something different Si! Quite a rootin' tootin' wagon there ;)

It'll be interesting watching this one take shape ...now where did I put that banjo? ;)

Interesting, and nicely aged and neglected. Good sturdy construction typical of old wagons. Having one side less aged than the other is a good idea.

B****y Hell Si, is there anything that you don't model, can't keep up with all your builds.

Looking really good though I must admit!

Ta fellas appreciate the kind words.

UPDATE:

Have cracked on today and have worked on the wagon, sanded more areas that have foot and cargo wear, have weathered it just some small bits to do.

Routed in the bits box and found a pan and carrying basket + stool. Sanded and chipped and then painted and weathered, blackened the pan using watered down black enamel and then black smoke weathering powder. Mixed up some clear resin and added some to the basket and then added white and yellow paint to resin and poured into the pan, supposed to be a porridge of sorts but came out like custard lol.

Have made the board and coated in brick dust and PVA, this has been dragged and stippled to create that windy sand look-two rocks and some long grasses added, once dry it will have further earth tones added.

More to come.

Strangely enough, I've been humming 'Wandering Star' while looking at the pictures!

Ha-ha I wonder if Si can do the 'beans' scene ;)

Seriously though, that's a top job Si! The wagon & it's accessories look so real!

Ta fellas, plenty of beans and whiskey...no wonder I cannot do any modelling, either passed out from the booze or the methane :D

Some more done so here comes another...

UPDATE.

Right, the wagon is finished apart from a small tear and patchwork in the canopy. The board has been done and is drying, added two rocks and dead foliage for framing, stool added and the camp fire done with glowing embers. Nothing to do now until the figures and other bits arrive.

Not the best of pics, so sorry about that but you get the idea.

Thanks guys, glad you like it, it looks wet in the pics but the board has had another Earth coat and it is still drying.
