That's a great diorama!!


The colour on the columns is simply perfect! Can I ask how you paint them..?


Nice details...personally I like the drybrush effect on the wheels. ;)

Thanks guys,


Polux the columns were made from plaster that is white, l used a sand colour from bottle to add depth to detail then thined paint down and gave a wash in patches all over letting the white of the plaster alter the shades of the paint.

Great build Barry , how did I miss this ! The sand looks fine , contrary to belief a lot of the sand was very stony and rocky in North afrika so yours looks great and in scale :smiling3:

Thanks the tarps are peices of paper kithen roll cut out ,draped over wheels before painting then aply watered white wood glue painted on to paper with a brush till it goes soft and then you can shape it over wheels and add creases ,a few more coats and when dry carfuly remove .
