Hi I have pre-odered the Airfix 1/24 Spitfire direct from Airfix (with free standard delivery for £95) I have just seen the kit for £85 at eModels I would then pay £8.95 or £9.50 for Tracked and insured delivery from FedEx or DPD respectively. I am not bothered about getting the kit a few days quicker but definitely want to receive it in as good condition as possible or have come back if it is damaged. What experience do you folk have with Airfix, Emodels, Federal Express or DPD as I am wondering whether to cancel my pre-order with Airfix and pre-order with eModels for the peace of mind Insurance brings? Maybe you have other retailers you can recommend?

Thanks in advance for your experiences/advice.

As the others have said, our host is a most excellent online shop.

Competitive prices, great service and if you pay the annual £10 fee to support the forum, you get a 5% discount on all purchases.

Lol, I did wonder! Thanks again to you all.
One final question, with my pre order with Airfix I didn't pay till it was in stock and ready for delivery is it the same with @John at Scale Model Shop?
