The Air Force is in the process of salvaging the cockpit taken from the C-5 cargo jet that crashed in Dover back in April. That cockpit will be used for on-ground testing of aircraft software. which the Air Force says should cut back on the need to test such flight systems up in the air. Officials say though that won't happen until the investigation into the aircrafts crash is completed and a report released. All 17 passengers on that aircraft survived the April crash.
