Gentlemen you are most kind. Your posts sure make a body feel good. Thanks
We are almost there. Difficulties mostly overcome although there are a few bodges which hopefully won't be noticed.
First the frame inside the hood.
Next job was the handbrake. There appears to be two levers, inside and outside the body. Fiddly linkages.
The horn seems to be a flexible tube from the bulb to the horn itself behind the front, right hand mudguard. I wound wire around a wire core. Looks OK painted silver.
Next to tackle was the spare wheel.
The two main mounts, C41 and C42, were too short. They brought the wheel too close to the body. Maybe my fitting of the handbrake and horn was incorrect. So I cut the mounts and fixed the shortened parts to the spare wheel.
The cut off parts were to attach to the body. I added small pads to the body attachment points and lengthened the bars with brass tube. The advantage of the brass tubes was that I could now slide the wheel nearer or further from the body.
Anyway it worked out OK. You can see the horn tube running from the bulb to the horn itself.
I fitted the windscreen and made a start on the hood. The masking tape is just holding the hood in position while the glue dries.
Very close to completion and I won't be sad to see it done.
Thanks for all your support. Without it this could so easily have become a shelf queen.
