I've never had any problems with the veneer lifting - probably just lucky! I do clean the plastic with IPA before carefully applying the veneer, using a paint brush handle to press down firmly in the corners. I also varnish the deck after a couple of days - this seals the wood & you can remove any paint slips that happen subsequently..............

That might be where I went wrong, the deck did get a coat of primer, and maybe a bit of the base colour, used colour coats for this so I thought it would be OK. I have varnished the veneer but after the original problems.

Need help I think I'm going mad parts F20 and F21 can't find them there is no F sprue or am I missing something

It's a hangover from the original Trumpeter 1907 Dreadnought! The sprue 'F' was replaced by 'G' for the 1918 model - Trumpeter missed removing this in their later instructions! That's the difficulty of producing 3 models of the same ship, with different fittings at different stages of her life! ( My 1907 model has sprue 'F' )
