You can make your own canopies easily from plastic Coke bottles,first of all you will need a former,this can be carved from balsa or made from plaster,make this slightly undersize to allow for the thickness of the bottle.
Next buy a bottle of Coke,drink the contents ( gulp ) and cut the top off the bottle,clean out the inside and dry out,place the former inside the open bottle and pad the end loosely with some cloth,next take your heat gun and allow the element to warm up,play the heat evenly around the bottle as the plastic shrinks up,take care to not get too close and burn the bottle just work slowly and carefully until all of the former is encapsulated,allow to cool and cut the former from the plastic with a craft knife.
The biggest job is to make the former but after this you can make endless copies or replacements.
PS-If you have a canopy already you can make a mould by pouring plaster into it and allowing to set overnight.
