Hi folks i have finally finish the Trumpeter 1/16 king tiger, this kit is a monster with loads of parts and even more detail, the paints used were tamiya acrylics, humbrol acrylics, oil pastels and a lot of patience. Anyone who has been following the link in under construction will have already see the interior detail, so the extras that havebeen added is the zimmeritt which was added using model filler. This is a comission for a client so please all comments are welcome be they good or bad, tell me what you think, hope you like it.

Well Scott, if it was me i would be very happy with that. The zimm is spot on and the camo has that faded war torn look about it, nice work mate and a big five.

Have fun, John

Fantastic job there chap. The recipient is one lucky fellow.

Here's a daft question from a man more familiar with airplanes. What was the "Zimmerit" supposed to do? It looks like it would be a hell of a job applying a finish like that to a full scale tank!

Simple answer Steve, to stop magnetic mines sticking. I could go into it but i'd end up boring the pants off you lol.

Have fun, John

Simply by uneveness (if that's a word) and seperating the magnets on the mine from the steel of the armour I assume. You live and learn, thanks. It looks great on Scott's the model.

Cheers
