Well this was nice little painting project to get me back in the swing after a break of a month or so. Maybe it's my age but I get out of the painting groove very quickly these days.
The goggles thing is a nice trick which I shall refine in the future. It's always bugged me.
Painting faces is still totally hit or miss for me, but the rest of it is not so scary now.

I put him on a grass 'airfield' base, but I really don't like the flock that has red and blue strands in it. I kind of understand that it's the way to mix colours, but is this as good as it gets ,or is there any out there that is just a colour?
I'm glad to have Douglas in my collection-he was a boyhood hero of mine, even if my opinion of him has tempered with maturity. He will be joined on the shelf eventually by these guys
