Didn't know if this is the right forum for this but makes the most sense to me. A 'generic' board so to speak, something to display finished vehicles on, kept dirt road "un-glued" just moistened a bit with a sprayer also constructing a cobble stone street base with a sidewalk or something for that 'urban' look ..............Jim:smiling3:

Very nice indeed Jim! Love the universal board, just works so well with all sorts of vehicles. The models themselves look terrific too, nice work all round mate.

Thanks Si, just figured it would class things up a bit when displaying finished models, am thinking about making a few of them in different genre, don't quite know exactly what they will be but things will come to me in time. Glad you like the idea:smiling3:..................Jim

A great idea Jim saves making bases for all the kits
Thanks Ian, hope it catches on a bit, makes things much simpler when one only wants to build a kit but hates to display it on the kitchen table, will be making a few more in future;)...........Jim

Great job Jim, works well with all of those vehicles. A desert one and a snow based one would cover most scenes :smiling3:

Loving the base Jim , the mud is fantastic! I love the idea of not setting it too so you can play around with it , making tracks and ruts etc , and then start over for the next model - genius! Great builds too , the Wespe (i think thats what it is ?!) is lovely , cheers tony

Thanks Tony, SPG actually a 'Hummel' 105mm howitzer. Don't know why I never had the idea until now but I'm planning others, different settings - urban - desert - snow etc.. etc.. ;) ..........Jim

Very nice Jim, what a cracking idea just finished watching Fury and can definitely see me taking on some armoured vehicles in the near future.

This generic board idea would be a must I think thanks for sharing, long grass would be another one I suppose what would the medium be?

What did you use for the road medium? I use cat litter and Acadama clay for my bonsai and it's got me thinking it would make a good stoney soil medium.

Cheers

1 fantastic looking diorama to that goes in to any setting well done on this base.

Regards

Robert.

Oh and the kits are fantastically made ( would we expect anything less from you Jim.

You tease us with your brilliance in making the standard kits look so damn hard to replicate.( if I could get my kits to look this good )

All modellers have a way to show off what they can do but you take it the next level.

I like the jagd tiger as looks a monster of a tank but then again your half track is just as special.

Great weathering on all models.

Never get bored looking at your work

That's an excellent collection you got there Jim. I like the idea of a set of generic bases - just need to make sure the vehicle weathering matches the base. ie no snow/mud covered tank on a desert base.
