Got the AMT Ecto-1A kit. But i prefer the Ecto-1 and since this model comes with the decals for it I thought i build that then.

Did some modifications to the roof rack so it's closer to Ecto-1. Just need to build a little ladder.

Also finished the paint on the shell today. God, I really need to work on my finish..... You will see what I mean looking at the bonnet.....

I think that your problem with the finish is that you are spraying either to far from the subject and the paint is drying on contact, or the air pressure is a bit low/paint to thick...

last time I painted some thing shiny was yonks ago so don't take my word for it, Find a junker and have a try. Build the first coat up with a few mist coats, then go for the wet coat. Just mind you don't get the runs.... Erm. you know what I mean.

Nice work dude.

I've started my Ecto 1A (Ghostbusters II), you can choose which Ecto to build via the different decals but i have found that the chrome step plate (positioned at the back of the car), which is present on Ecto 1A is not present on Ecto 1. Ecto 1 has a normal rear bumper. Bit of a pain but hey-ho, who ya gonna call?

Thanks everyone. Will try to get a shiny coat on one of the next cars. Plus i got a couple really badly built cars i bought ready. So i can practice on those.

I didn't notice the different rear bumpers yet but the roof rack is completely different. So i made that little gun that's on there. Ned to find some scrap now to make that ladder.

The white walls are decals that came with the 32 coupe. Unfortunately they don't stick very well to the tyres. But it's not too bad. Overall im really pleased with it so far.

Now to tackle that interior.... Might not put too much detail to it as you won't be able to see it through the tinted windows anyway.

Cheers, Pascal

Fantastic build, my favourite scene of the movie is the part where Ray and Winston are in ecto1 crossing the bridge and talking about revelations, there a piece of music which I love, no idea what it is though, really must try and find a copy to watch again.

I think the piece of music is called "The Dead Have Been Rising - The Portal is Opened". It's track 6 on my Ghostbusters soundtrack. Check it out on Youtube.
