I thought I'd put together a small dio that somewhat depicts vehicles fallen to IED's or heavy attacks which left them totally destroyed and unusable. I had seen quite a few pics of badly damaged vehicles, beyond repairs, just put into a heap or collected together and placed into a 'Junkyard' type for damaged vehicles. So this is my loose representation of such yards during the Iraqi War...

Many pics. This dio also shows my first attempts to model figures. Not the best but I am learning. Enjoy:

The two dios you've posted this morning are both excellent! ***** each for sure. Am I right in assuming they're 1/35?

Truly stunning stuff Charles.

To my mind, and eye a perfect piece of modelling.

Great looking dio. Lots of details and very convincing weathering. My favorite shot is the one called; fallen_armor_dio14.jpg

The detail is stunning and the weathering quite brilliant. It takes a lot of skill to get very heavy weathering and rust to look just right and that is absolutely superb.

Thanks for all the pics as well.

Wow! That beggars belief! Outstanding modelling skills Charles!!! Loads to take in and plenty of detail (worth spending lots of time on each pic to study the detail - it's like a 'Where's Waldo!') - stunning!

All the best
