Hope fully not to late but if you want to make him heavy fill him with plater of paris...

Cobbles and stone walls..

Saw a good video on You tube. He just used modelling clay, the kind you dont have to bake.

I'll try to find it again.

well been up from about 5am as always dont sleep much,

for the stone wall i used Depron which Richi told me about some time ago,and ever since that is what i use

for building, and so on,real great stuff to use, would be lost without it, :D

have got alot done so im happy with that, almost all of the back round ;)

with this one i did draw out the stone archway,as i know that the key stone placement

is very important,as i was helped before with that one and its stuck,so good, :D

well waiting for glue to dry on these bits, and cannot use a power saw at 8.30 on a Sunday morning,

dont think the neighbors would like it,

and also need to wait till 10am to be able to mow the lorn as well,

still waiting for the base coat on old Frankie to curer before doing more

well hope your liking it,so far,

If Franky looks half as good as this base this will be an outstanding dio.

I really like how you work on the scenario as well as the figure, just like with your samurai girl!

Keep that good job!

well im,calling it a day,been along one,

got some done on this plus most of my gardening done as well, was ment to be

cold and rain, but oh no the sun had to come out,

have the base all sorted, with the stone work glued down on the wooded base,

so waiting for glues to set,

to save time and and messing about use an old fence board for the door so its already

naturally wreathed

and i think it looks quite good, :smiling3:

hope you like todays work, any comments welcome ;)

Amazing work Monica , your walls and base look superb. and as for the door - it looks fantastic , great idea using an old weathered piece of wood . One thing i would add to the door though is a couple of diagonal braces between the ledges , rising upwards from the hinge side (in this case it would look like 2 'Z's one on top of the other if you get what I mean ) , not a criticism in any way , just me being a bit pedantic , Ex joiner you see !! Keep up the excellent work , cheers tony

ta Richi,do real appreciate the nice comments, and i think the doors worked well, :D

what i was trying to show other than just a black hole, was to have that back wall that is about,

50mm behind, the main wall in dark shadow, black with just a little highlight on the the right side,

and his shadow, had blocked all other light,

some what like in the pic below ,that type of look ?

but if you can think of some thing ,that i can try all ways open to idea,s ;)

ta Tony glad your liking it as well and do real appreciate the help,I was not sure if it should

of had them or not,but that one is sorted ,

will add them in and post pic , to make sure its right lol,i get confused with stuff, lol,  ;)

always good to get help and advise with things, :D

Ok Moni, I will try, try to make the stones smaller in the door opening to create depth.

maybe the sides of the opening not under 90 degrees but at 70 degrees if you know what i mean.

tried to make a quick drawing maybe you can see what i mean

hope this help

yes yes Richi,I ran of and did some painting lol,

ta im glad you know what i mean, :D

the pic is what im trying to do,like in my pics, should be some thing simulaer ;)

I know what you meant, and I,m not that good with words,

so hear is what i come up with, did a black band around half the death of the door, then just a base coat of gray on the inner stones,

down to the black band,

on the back stone wall did blue/black, to a lighter blueish,
