Hi Everyone
Scottie - I am happy with the final look which is causing me problems of where to put the dust
Si - You know me mate - more battered and bruised the better
Allen - You probably wont like my reply but all my models go into boxes never to be seen again so we will never know
Cheers
Greg. More to feast your eyes on below
Paul - Glad you like it sir
Jim - It's all about building up the layers and hoping it all looks okay in the end
MrT - I did hold back a bit as I didn't want to overdo it
Richard - Some areas are really rich in tones and I need to expand that look on future builds
Fernando - The weathering is one of my better efforts so thanks for the feedback
Thanks
Mike. Appreciate the support mate
The cab was finished off with a Burnt Sienna pin wash and dry brushing. The dial
decals were a complete failure with the blue mask fluid going in behind and one disintegrating completely
The same pin wash and dry brushing was done on the chassis and I am a lot happier with the look
Next comes the pigments and dusting phase. I really like the current look and I am concerned too much dust work will spoil it so there will not be a lot applied.
In the meantime I am not a great one for bases so I need some help. Which way round should the Opel go and which way should the Flak point??. Should the build be shown off with the PAK40 at the back or front?? Here are some photos to help you decide. Also the bare corner diagonally opposite to the PAK40 will be a roped off mine area. All suggestions will be greatly appreciated
In the meantime here are a couple of photos the nearly completed build
Thanks for watching
Steve
