It has been a while since i last built a model but my better half insisted that i spend some money and so i bought 4 kits ...they sat in my desk for quite some time but then i decided to build the 1/48 Stuka from Italeri. On top of this I built a small diorama to place it on. A snow covered airfield and with the maintenance crew busy servicing the aircraft prior to another mission.

Her are some pView attachment 75773

Looks good, Lindsey, does the Italeri kit come with all that engine detail?

(I'm seriously jealous of your sunshine.)

hi there Mike - the weather in this part of the world has certainly been o/standing for the past week or so .... as far as the engine goes .. yip it is std apart from my attempt to add the( spark plug??) cables hanging down as they have been disconnected for the ongoing maintenance. I nicked that idea off a model I saw in another gallery ...

cheers

Very nice diorama and Stuka, Lindsey. I quite like that piece of carpet over the engine.

Great model and a really interesting diorama. The engine looks brilliant and the panels sat on the floor makes the scene come together and look realistic. Great job, thanks for posting the pictures.

Thats a great little scene you have made there.

The Italeri Stuka is a great kit and I have often been tempted by it. In fact it is so good that Tamiya took it for their home market, added a few bits (not to the aircraft though), put it it one of their boxes and doubled the price

A great build and I to am just a little envyos of all that sun shine!
