This will be my first attempt at a GB, hope it goes well. The last (only) 2 wingy things I bought put me off so I sold one and gave the other one away but I thought I would give this one a go as it was small, cheap and it has rescue written on it so it will do for me. I will be building the one with wheels so if anyone wants a set of floats for anything give me a shout.

Andy.

I remember making this in it's original Matchbox version. A nice model, eye catching in yellow. There's a YouTube video of this on floats
- useful to see the colour of the floats!

I made a start on this tonight, quite a lot of clean up to do but it is an old kit, both wings together and the windows in one fuselage half. On having a wee test I think it will need quite a bit of work to get the wing/ fuselage joints right, perhaps a bucketfull of filler will do the job.

I knew I should have kept away from wingy things and true to form I made what I call a terminal mistake with this and it now resides in the bin. Now I will have to get down on my knees and ask Dave if I can change my mind and enter with another model in this build.

Andy.................off to empty the bin.

No "kneed" for that Andy! I've lost count of the number of kits I've binned for one reason or another. You're welcome to pick summat else if you still want a go at the GB.

Sorry to hear that Andy. I take it there wasn't any way to salvage it. Good luck with your next selection...

Too bad about the Otter.....I thought it would be a fun build, especially if you had opted for the pontoon version.:poop: happens!
