I will be trying Lifecolor paints for the Group Build, following John's review.

They don't seem to have an RLM 55 or an RLM 23. Any ideas for accurate alternatives please? Lifecolour preferred for consistency but if not a recommendation for an alternative?

RLM55? what's that for? I'm away at the moment but I don't remember a series of 50s in RLM colours. Of course that could be my bad memory!

Cheers

I've asked Alex at airbrushes.com for you, he said

Actually we do have RLM 23.

https://airbrushes.com/product_info.php?products_id=2204

I've asked one of our expert railway dealers about a LifeColor match for

RLM 55 as he's done a lot of matching up LifeColor for this market. His

name is Leslie Blades of Railway Models 4 U, if any of your members are

seeking good model rail advice.

I'll let you know if he replies.

So I will let you know when I hear from him

Hi John and Alex,

As you can see I've joined the Forum today and thanks for the invite to join in.

I agree with the Member called Flounder_al (Allyne) who seems to have a good eye for colour matching, so I would go with his/her suggestions.

Regards,

Leslie.

Rlm 55

I would like to apologise for the error and confusion I created asking about RLM 55.

It doesn't appear on my colour scheme at all and as stated by responses, may not exist. I did the paint list late at night (and without my glasses) so I must have misread it.

Humble apologies and thanks for all the help.

I ordered my paint list from Airbrush today, filled in the satisfaction survey comenting on the 2 colours I couldn't find and had a phone call shortly after, during which we sorted the outstanding colours.

How's that for service? Well done Airbrush!!

If anyone is wanting the lifecolor paints they are having a price increase the new price is £15.59 inc VAT for each set of 6 x 22ml and £2.30 per jar (22ml). The prices take effect on April 1st 2010, order before then for the old price.

Yep,74/75 over 76 would be your camo colours 70 the propeller and 71 whatever the instructions say it's for (spinner?). I can't help with the Revell colours but I'll add an RLM-FS conversion chart if I can find it. It will give you a reasonable guide rather than exact equivalents.

Cheers

Steve
