Simon,
SMER are one of the survivors of the old Eastern Bloc klunky model makers. A lot of their production seems to be using old moulds from a wide range of makers, Revell, Heller, Airfix, including some 1/32 vintage cars, and sailing ships. The DH2 dates from the 70's, and possibly further back to the 50's, from Merit.
Some of their more modern models, like the Sukhoi Su-7,22,25 ( ex OEZ & KP ) aren't that bad ( I've got several 1/48 aircraft in my stash ), you just have to treat them as limited-run kits.
Oddly enough the DH2 was originally listed as 1/50............

Thanks to Dave for the insight into the company.:thumb2:
Ian I take it those turn buckles are metal, certainly a tedious job in fitting them , but a good result .

The interior look great Ian, those additions add a lot of interesting detail to the office to see.:thumb2:
Nice construction work too and getting all the turnbuckles fitted must have been quite a pain but the beginning of the rigging is done and it looks very nice.:hugging-face:

Looking really good old boy. Rigging there must be a thousand and one ways to rig a plane, but your idea might be a new one.

Hi Ian
This is looking very good. Considering the shortcomings of the kit what you are creating is exceptional. Very skilled modelling.
