DOH! beat me by 17 minutes Ian! Ive just finished mine too ! This is a fantastic build , for me its got everything - a top class build of a great aircraft ,an old mould given a new lease of life, childhood nostalgia ,a great base and lovely RIVETS !! I love the paintwork, its superb how youve got the shading on the rivet lines - a truly great build , cheers tony

Ian, fantastic result from that old Airfix kit. And very nicely displayed on that base too, it brings it to life even more. Great build, no doubt about it.

Very nice Ian not under or overstated just looks right.

Like the engine bezels and exhausts. Found those not easy to get so they look right and they do.

Lots of rigging to the floats. Like models with rigging they always look the real thing and it enhances yours.

If you get a chance look at the film Yangtze Incident. HMS Amethyst caught up the river and attacked by the Chinese Communists. The Sunderland lands on the Yangtze River, along side, to bring supplies and a doctor for the injured.

The river Stour or Orwell were used for the filming in East Anglia. There are some great sequences of the "bulldog" Sunderland coming onto the water and later taking off. Made very authentic as they used Amethyst in the filming.

Also at Southampton they have a museum of aircraft. One of these is the Sunderland. They let you crawl all over the aircraft including the flight deck.
