this is the rebox of the moebius 1/6 scale cylon figure, not a great kit if I'm honest and my heart wasn't in it , it's quite a fiddly kit especially the upper body , the arms have to be glued into place and left to set but then there's a chance they will move as its not a tight fit and they are quite heavy this cases a bit of a struggle to get the chest plate on while attaching the legs as well

I painted this and it was a boring silver with no visible features so I used some black oil paint to do the fading on all edges to bring the detail out

I was going to put a light in the head to show its beady eye by running a wire through the leg but you can't as it is all closed off and not big enough if I had drilled out the holes as I would have had to remove the guide pins for the feet and knees so I just built it oob

Pics arnt great and I'll update with better ones after I get back from London on Tuesday

Good work Al, the colouring and subtle shading look really good.

Looks great!

Am i right in thinking this is the creature that has a knight rider type light in its eye hole?

Nice figure... The colour is good, and the black wash has added at the figure an interesting tone.

Now I'm no cyclone fan never really watched the show, but what I did see and remember is exactly what you have created and I'll agree with all above comments

You really have a knack Alan to take a base kit and transform so well

Awesome

Very nice Alan. Great shading and an imposing model.

Looks like it's trying to catch the robotic neon lit mouse that's trying to escape via the 240v portal! ;)

I think to paint something with 1 overall colour is not easy to make look good.

To me you have managed to make this look alive.

Really nice work:smiling3:

Nice piece of work, "simple" paint jobs like this are the hardest to get right.

I now have a bit more enthusiasm for this and from the photos I notice it can do with a bit more attention on the shoulders but that will have to wait until Tuesday when I get back from that dair London

I agree making something all silver show any detail is hard, but you have done a superb job of it.
