Going back to my youth my mate at 18 bought a mk1 Mexico write off and a 1100 mk1 from a scrappy and stripped both down to the shell then rebuilt the escort with rally arches sprayed diamond white and a blue border stripe down the centre roll bar in back 2 bucket seats and lowered it ( dustbin exhaust!!, it was a peach true to all ford could do back then. I remember down the M27 at 3am at 105!! I nearly had to change my shorts!!!!!

Lovely memories

Nice model John. The headlights etc look authentic did they come like that or did you do a special.

I think it was this model I had but it was a bog standard car and had headlights which were oblong not round. Dark metallic green. Remember it well as when parked on the banks of the Tay some rotten devil busted the window to get in and pinched a load of stuff.

Thanks Laurie, the headlights are correct for that car... depending on what model it was the Mk1 had either oblong or round headlights, & the Mk2 had Square headlights unless it was a Sports Version which were either round or twin round ones...

On my own car it came with sports headlights, having 2 bulbs in them 1 dip 1 main beam & a switch that put both bulbs on together :D :D.
