'Elderly Statesmen' on here might just remember my diorama of the 1/48 Revell Swift Boat (PCF) and the fact that I couldn't get any 1/48 Vietnam era U.S soldiers to go with it.

Well I never did, but moons ago I found some 1/48 WW2 figures that I decided to use in order that I could finally draw a line on the build and confine it for good in the loft.

I've been working on and off with the figures for ages and now I've finished and added them to the already completed scene from way back.....

Before I get jumped on, I know the uniforms, helmets and weaponry are wrong and yes, the chaps ears have not got much detail. (I really should have gone for some aftermarket ones) ;)

I cut some of the figures up and re- glued them in better poses to suit the deck layout a bit better. I also filed off the chaps spats and tucked in trousers.

I've also added the watercolour background from that Spitfire under a bridge model I made.

Anyway, here is the most final completed diorama.

There you go. It's been a long time, but it's finally done.

Cheers.

Thanks boys. Much appreciated.

Awesome.
I was going to say bad drills keeping the fenders out but seeing the damage to the bows and sides - maybe not. ;) :smiling2: Cracking result Ron.

Doug. The lads could well have been plucked from a very dangerous and possibly under fire situation. I doubt the crew of the P.C.F. would be giving much thought to the "Bad Drill" of leaving fenders outboard!....... ;)

In my sailing days, I occasionally left my fenders hanging too, but that was because me and the crew were too pi***d to bend over and grab the ropes to haul them back on board :upside:.......Not being shot at!

Ian. I believe this was started way back in 2018ish. So yes, "About time Mate"

Cheers.
Ron

Superb stuff Ron and so realistically photographed. Just spoiled by the lack of detail on the ears of a couple of the figures. You really mustn't cut corners if you want to go from a superb to bloody incredible mogeller :smiling:

Thanks Jim. Glad you approve. :thumb2:
I just knew someone would spot the poor ear detail.

570, have to say one of your best. Love the movement you've managed to get, the base is superb, impressed with the greenery you did as a back drop.
There was no doubt in the Committee's mind about awarding
