So after paint, and i created 5 bedrolls from tissue and PVA solution, added the antennae .....made from Ernie Ball E & G strings lol ....rocking along.

I've got a Bazooka and some bandoliers to add, and the .50 ammo cans.

I did streak and 'spot' the M26 with Alclad Aqua gloss to depict rain, looking suitably grubby as most seemed to during combat.
Happy days

They look very interesting, if fragile! Nick. Are they casts or prints though? Looks like it might be a difficult job in removing all those supports cleanly….

Not seen those before Nick. Are they flexible? Maybe they are more bendable when warmed?

I'll know more when they arrive, i am hoping after careful removal and cleanup they can be persuaded to conform with very hot water......
I have 6 piece brass PE slings but these days i make them into birds nests lol. At a price £17 delivered these will be easier

I just found this on another Forum, yes they are 3D printed....
Quote....
"
1-The slings can be a challenge to remove due to the print “stilts” and their flexibility; I ended up patiently cutting them off as I lay the sling on a cutting mat.
2-The slings will bend in hot water, but I found not as easily as cast resin. Be patient, bend a bit at a time.
3-I drilled a wee hole for the “nub” at the swivel and used medium super glue and a kicker. held up as I installed the part."
I'm still well up for this

Thanks Nick. Must admit when I looked at them I thought “how did they cast them with all those gates”…..
The future of aftermarket isn’t it…..

Sorry 'Crazy Man', but I'm playing ketchup here Buddy. Great to see you back in the swing and this dio is getting better and better with each update Nick. I have never heard of eye decals before, but you seem to have used them to the max. They look great!!! Overall, everything from the figs to the weathering on the M26 is tops!!! I'll try and keep up now....

As an aside, My brother was born on the day the Korean Conflict began, 25 June 1950, and when we were kids, I used to bust his chops about him being the cause of the conflict.........Because he was so ugly...........

This a.m. boiling water to persuade the sling into the two 0.3mm holes I've drilled in stock and swivel. Gel CA applied.
One down three to go

Jim, as proficient as i feel i am, these were a challenge but not impossible to do....... a little more time taken as you'll get good results. Parting off the print frame and cleanup was the difficult bit.
Anyhow, a Marine has a weapon lol

Cheers all,
Moving along a bit, the cracked Thompson sling i repaired but knew i couldnt bend it, so..... i added it to the Bazooka, which fits perfectly.

Not very clear but i painted it this a.m. before work...... final stowage was base coated too. One hopes to have complete before Friday nights Clubmeet and then Saturdays Shepway model show @ Hawkinge.
