Tamiya 1/32 P-51 Mustang - progress so far...

I used normal Aluminium (101) for the base coat, then did random panels with Dark Aluminium, Duralinium and White Aluminium. I'll gloss coat it when all the markings are on for the stencil decalling and washes, then a flat coat over all that.

Blimey - who would have thought that applying the stencilling decals would take longer than building the model! Not really - but there are hundreds of the little b*ggers!

Outstanding work very realistic weathering. You should be very proud of yourself. 5*

This is a beautiful build and paint job.

The attention to detail really shows.

Tony.

Beautiful! The P-51 is my favourite aircraft and you've done it justice. The weathering is nice and subtle, too.

Hey Snapper, when you glued the magnets in, did you paint over them? I'm in the middle of my build on this kit and never used magnets before. Wasn't sure if you're supposed to paint over them or not.

Thanks.
