Morning Guys,

Finished this one up last night. I did have a build blog going, but due to some issues it's gone from part built to finished.

As a preamble, this is my first kit after a 6 month break. Turns out that modelling is a perishable skill which led to some daft mistakes on my part, namely removing/damaging some decals with masking which resulted in having to rub back some of the paintwork to primer, then re-paint and gloss.

As a result this is far from my best work, but I enjoyed it nonetheless and just made the best of it I could. Good news is, the mojo is still back, and stronger than ever despite the setbacks. :smiling3:

Very nice Bob! I've just finished the same one myself (It is the Tamiya 1/12th, yes?) It took a long while but I really enjoyed it. I'm reasonably happy with the results, although its not quite up to your standards (Can't seem to get the doors to 'click' shut amongst other things).Porsche 934 1.JPGPorsche 934 2.JPGPorsche 934 engine 2.JPGPorsche 934 3.JPG I did the 1/24th Revell kit a while back when I was just starting back into the hobby so it was an interesting comparison. i had trouble with paint also (see my thread under ' Civilian cars under construction) and had to take most of the body back to plastic. I got there in the end , but if you look closely you can see differences in the tone between the body parts. But its a really nice kit with only some detailing necessary (Mainly replacement of the supplied black vinyl tubing with braided hose and fittings.)

Thanks Peter. :smiling3:

No, mine was the 1/24th Tamiya kit, though I might take on the 1/12th at some point.

I'm always playing ketchup with you Bob. I love the finish you achieved, even with the probs you had. The orange color really makes a race car stand out too. I just picked up a Tamiya kit for your GB coming up. I'll just steal all of your great skills/tips when I build it...

Prost
