Hi all
I want to put my completed IDF CJ-5 into a diorama.
In the '70s, tensions were high between Israel and her Arab neighbours, an IDF border patrol has stopped for some refreshment at a roadside stall. That's the idea anyway
As do many modellers I find figure painting very difficult. But figures add so much to a dio I feel they have to be included. I also think that a figure in a dio does not have to be as good as a stand alone figure to be effective - see I'm already making excuses There will be three figures, two IDF and the boy at the stall. I must confess that I have been spurred on by seeing how well John R has done with his figures by determination and sticking with it
Figure 1. Made up of a few bits and pieces with a hornet head. He will be drinking from a bottle.
Figure 2
Not altered apart from a masking tape belt.
The boy and the soldiers were primed black with white from above.
The boy carries a book? I thought of getting rid of his book but decided to leave it even if it had no relevance to the story
After painting, repainting, swearing and fretting the figures are almost done. Just a little bit left to do, the leather needs work and some of the highlights are a bit harsh.
I've also started sorting the boy's stall.
