Thanks all....as the consensus seems to be “remain!!!”...it’s going to stay with a bit of chipping here and there...also cracked on with the admittedly much easier other side!!!
Jason .
Of course it should stay.
Looks to be absolutely the right size , and the painting is well ..... Superb,
those eyes are so real and the 5 o'clock shadow
Some of us can only dream !

Hi all
Thanks Peter, Monica and John!
I’ve spent quite a lot of time trying to get the helmet whitewash how I wanted it which meant a bit of painting over my hard work...I think I’m now at the stage where this is just going to have to do!
Thanks for looking in

Hi all,
I did some work on the greatcoat which I still have more to do on...I tried a different technique of painting the dark shades then dry brushing the lighter ones whereas I would normally do a base colour and then add light and dark shades...it was a lot quicker but I think I might revert to my preferred method?
The scarf also needs finishing!
Anyway did a dry fit just to get an idea of how it should come together?
Thanks for looking in!

Hi all
Just a few progress shots...I tightened up the definition on the greatcoat and a few other bits...I’m not happy with the kit supplied strap for the MG34 so I have a suitable piece of leather in the spares box ...so I’m toying with the idea of using that instead???
Thanks for looking in!
Jason
Jason, your work is fantastic, the five o'clock shadow & worn whitewash helmet are superb. Figure painting is like art to me, something I struggle with.
