.... So then, the week's progress was slow, but caught up a bit yesterday, and will be doing some more this afternoon, for now though, here's a picture heavy update.....
IMG20240426203334.jpg
Underside masked and ready for sloshing some paint around on top...
IMG20240426203419.jpg
(A couple of numbered masks there for Mick ;) ) .... Let the sloshing commence....
IMG20240427160459.jpg
That'll be the brown then!! ..
IMG20240427201126.jpg
Masks applied,( I do like these Top Notch vinyl sets),next, let's chuck some "Purist Green" around the parish.....
IMG20240427202224.jpg
... and eagerly torn off again....
IMG20240428145813.jpg
... And ready for the Sky band, which I will paint by hand in a mo....
So then,I shall be pressing on very soon, until next time.....(Hopefully this evening ;) )

Andy,
Apologies mate very late to the party. Just had a catch up cracking work so far mate.
No not "Late" Scottie, just not as early as the others :tongue-out2: ,thanks for that mate :hugging-face:
Lovely work on the camo Andy. I wish I'd invested in some masks!
Cheers Andy,yep,they help a lot :thumb2:
Looks great Andy :thumb2:

Camo masks seem well worth investing in, great result and must save loads of time

Geoff.
Thanks Geoff, the masks are definitely a good investment IMHO,and they don't actually cost much:thumb2:
Camo looks good
Cheers Lee,much appreciated :hugging-face:
Excellent work Andy.
Thanks Steve, it's getting there now:tongue-out:

.... So then chaps,an update to follow shortly.....

.... So then, said update coming up..
I've had a few unusual issues with the decals.....
IMG20240429204421.jpg
You can see the white "powdery" stuff that appeared around the decal, this happened with ALL of them,(I only used my usual Micro Sol and Set method),some of it came off with a gentle rub with a damp cotton bud, but some didn't?!!
Anyway....
IMG20240502202922.jpg
Taped up the gun ports, hand painted Red,and then addressed the decal issue and some overspray areas, then sprayed with semi gloss varnish,in readiness for a Flory wash.....
IMG20240504111034.jpg
IMG20240504111016.jpg
IMG20240504111002.jpg
Obviously it still needs some tweaking, the wash, and knock offable bits added, but it definitely is getting there :tongue-out2:.

Good recovery on those decals Andy. I have never seen that before and I use the same decal solutions. Looking good so far.
