Here's a couple of my latest France 1940 (or thereabouts) completions

The FCM 2C - the biggest tank ever to go into operational service, and Citroen Kegresse P16 Half-track armoured car

The 70-tonne 2C was designed in 1917 for the planned 1919 offensive. 300 were ordered but only ten were ever built, eight of which were still in service in 1940. They were all destroyed on their rail transporters in June 1940

Tank 03 / 93 'Alsace' was decorated for Bastille Day in 1938. The Meng 1/35th job has the same markings, which I appropriated from a scan. Most of the models I've seen show her in random camo, whereas this is based on the painting in Histoire & Collections French Tanks & AFVs Encyclopedia, which is based on this photo

Now, if I can just get a set of crew figures to stand alongside!

Painting was Gunze and AK (not MiG!) French Armour. The Flags are re-worked 15mm Napoleonics

The Model is from Warlord, and has separate tracks and hull, plus turrets and white metal guns. And it weighs a blinkin' tonne!

Part 2 - Citroen Kegresse P16 of 6 GRDI

This one based on photos and profiles from Trackstory #10. Captured as wrecked and abandoned by the Germans, the profile book is almost unique in there being a picture of both sides of the vehicle!
Markings by hand except the roundel and mini tricoleurs

Another resin Warlord job, with metal guns and tracks. As you can see, these beasts are very tall and very thin, and yet you don't see many of them on their sides having cornered too quickly!

Et finalment, just a quick size comparison for those of you keeping track of the differences in 28mm

These are too different 3D printed Hotchkiss H35s. Size differences about comparable between 1/72 and 1/76, but mush more noticeable when parked together. I'm eBaying the bigger one because I can get more of the other and variants thereof in consistent size
Painted as 7e, 3e Sqn 3e Ram 3e DLC Belgium May '40IMG_1099.JPGIMG_1098.JPG
