Paint the part in a light yellow or tan & then once fully cured add a light coat of a dark brown oil paint. Use a short stiff brush to remove most of the oil paint which will leave a streaked effect like woodgrain.
You could use acrylic paint instead of oils, but be quick in removing it because of the faster drying time.
Once the oils or acrylic has dried, add a gloss coat.
If the part is very small, instead of adding the dark brown use
Tamiya clear orange. No need to streak this, just add the clear orange which gives a woody effect.
