WW11 Aircraft

Bit of useless information but which I found fascinating.

Added up that of all the countries involved in the Second World War they produced 977 aircraft.

This does not include the different marks of each type. Nor does it include prototypes produced to show if they were worth proceeding with.

You know, that might indeed be a facinating list. Where did you get the info so you don't have to get typists what ever they get, putting the whole list on here.

If you want to look at the Spitfire, I think you can come up to around 200 if you took all the marks and variants......

n1 mate,but can you name them...lol.jeff.
Yes I can these are just a few

Spitfire

Hurricane

Lancaster

Typoon

Tempest

But you can get the rest at List of aircraft of World War II - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

If you double click on the one of your choice the full details will come up of that aircraft.

Remarkable piece of information giving the history of all 1000 of them.

Thanks for the link Laurie, just a quick scan and I've found some I've never heard of before.

What a great list.

Thanks again.

Brilliant list.... Surprised at how many jets got into production if not operational during the war.
