With that temperature I thought it was based in Chicago not Russia!
So glad you dirtied up the white wash on the SU. You have a lot of contrasting whites in the whole diorama which adds interest. Look forward to seeing the snow. Remember no yellow snow or snowmen.
Terrific work mate. Well done
I know Jim, we can't take him anywhere these days. Hope you approve when you see the photos.Hi John
Fancy Steve saying 'no snowmen'. What a killjoy.
Going the right way for sure.
Jim
Not long my friend....CAN'T WAIT....
Thanks Si.That’s smashing John, the Su look right at home in it parking space
Yes they did , crept into the town only to be met with some serious fire power. Are you warm enough, if so please send some here Richard. The Germans are going to get shock when ambushed...sort of the reverse of my Achtung Achtung dio where the Germans were laying the ambush at Caen.
Feeling the stiff cold breeze even in the tropics here...nice tease John.
Cheers,
Richard
Hi Rick , thanks buddy.Well executed John, The little bugger blends right in. Nasty surprise for the unaware...
Rick H.
Thanks Greg, yes that part on the door acame out really well, needed that to show the direction .FANTASTIC.... the snow is superbly done...the snow on the door... is soooo real...only one word... WONDERFUL
Stunning dio mate Its a shame it has come to an end. A brilliant first attempt at the snowy look. You must be pleased with the way it has turned out. Time to go and enjoy a cold long pint
Steve thank you . No doubt I can improve on the snow, the main problem was I didn't dare turn it over as your advised too to remove the surplus snow because I wasn't sure what would fall off. ! .
Glad you did Rick and pleased you enjoyed doing so.Really enjoyed following this John. Anything in the stash for a follow up project?
Cheers, Rick
Yes see below .
John,
This is a cracking build mate the snow looks very good indeed.
Hi Paul and thank you .
Cold indeed Peter , how those people lived in those conditions is unbelievable.Thank you for your support .Fantastic John. Cold, cold, cold!
Cheers Si, had that in mind that it needed to have a direction and it worked. ! . Always pleased when something either fits or comes out how you imagined.Superb John, absolutely superb
The contrast between the snowy side and the the sheltered side is brilliant. You ought to be very happy with the results
Thanks Jim ..... Yes it was great to work with. Glad I went the whole hog and got the kit as even with their sieve it certainly put the snow out quickly . That mesh was 700 mircons and not easily found in hardware shops, everything else you find would have been to bigHi John
Snow looks very realistic. I thought you would like the Precision Ice and Snow stuff.
Jim
Thank you for staying with this, one and all. Steve and Rick asked what else was planned, I thought I would continue with the winter theme. This time including ice , so you can probably see where this is going, tank , ice , too heavy , ice breaks , tank goes in ! Oh such fun and not a match to hand ..
Already have the box open , hull started. Will post the start tomorrow.
John .
Very nice comments Richard, thank you .As for what's next I mentioned it at the bottom of the post. When I came on this morning that post had reduced itself, there was a message at the bottom of Steve's post click here to see more . Do you see that ?. Also some times I can post a thumbs up for a like, and a string of emojih appear, but not on everyone's postings . Could be the weather .That's some blizzard heading one direction mate. Effects well done. I would be proud of it myself John if I had got it that way. As Steve said sadly good things come to an end and we look forward to new gooder things...ahem newer challenges. After the R&R what's next?
Cheers,
Richard
