1/35 Academy tiger 1 early.

I wanted to replicate an initial tiger in Leningrad, with a panzer IV stowage bin and no side mud guards.

I have mounted it on a small base because I wanted the tiger to appear dominant and almost trophy like.

Some inspiration

The Academy kit was beautiful and I can't wait to build the full interior. Sorry about the many lighting changes but I haven't found the sweet spot for taking pics yet.

Wow, what a top build Aaron, fantastic weathering and mud! I've been reading up on these early tigers, as I guess you have, looking at your research photos. I wish that there was an English translation for the tif.de site!

Also gets me thinking that I don't have to be quite so obsessional about painting 40 odd tyres - 'cause my wheels are going to be caked in mud too... ;)

Awesome!!! Love the derailing and weathering and that commander is looking very ominous ( good textures) I like your small base as the tiger does sit imposingly, love the dirt too

A true great build
