This sporty 2 seater ended up as the hill climb champion for Raymond Sommer killed at the Haute-Garone Grand Prix in 1950.

We now see it as it was stored after a hill climb, caked in mud, rusted, the leather seat is split and the filling is showing, a simple windscreen replaces the original and painted numbers adorn its now faded and cracked paintwork.

LOL That is hilarious, Sarah's Uncle has one in his garage and its actually worse looking, its the one from James bond or something.

This is a nice model, good weathering- I think the tyres would be more perished though ;)

Ta guys, pleased you like another knackered one. This has had a re-vamp as it now sits on a slate floor with barrels etc, a rusting fence, I even managed to sort a rear light as it was missing. No pics as of yet as it is still drying.

Was being slightly sarcastic, for a start your about a million miles above my modelling ability haha, it's an excellent build and you should be well chuffed with it, I would be ;)

But that's the point of this site, even newbies can spot things that help, so thanks for that. You flatter me, not that good really mate.

Lovely job Si. One day you could have a go at making something clean!! :smiling3: Seriously though a great weathering job and I'm sure it is going to look spot on when when you put it on a base.

If you place an oil drum next to it won't that be an additional model?......so then there will be two models?.......and that, according to the IPMS, will make it a diorama!!

Really cool!!

Is that more of a "bog runner" than a "hill climber"? ;)
