Another MiniArt Hoplite

Another one finished this morning, base, sword and scabbard now painted. The bronze on this model was Tamiya Gold then overpainted with Burnt umber Oil paint thinned out in places to let the gold show through the brown to give a highlighted bronze appearance. Bronze shading is just black oil paint thinned and spread with a big brush. I was experimenting the bronze finishing when these last two. The first Hoplite looked too flat for my taste.

Next one up will be next week. Needs some more work than this one did. He does have a spear though!

(Note the dirty mark on the chaps right foot has since been wiped off ..Aghhhhh!!)
