So I started weathering, and totally forgot to take pics as I went. Doh!
I started with applying the decals then followed with a tan filter to start tying the camo together. After a gloss cost I went over everything with a very thin wash of starship filth to try to make the Zimmerit pop out a bit.
The tracks and tools were giving a thin wash of black acrylic ink which was partially wiped off before it dried.
I did some chipping on the flat surfaces with a sponge and went at the exhaust with pigments.
I've been carrying on with the weathering by applying various streaking grimes to the vertical and horizontal surfaces. I also went over some of the handles and protruding bits with a dry brushing of metal pigments.
I've also applied mud to the lower half of the hull. I tried a new technique which is supposed to represent dry mud that has washed downward. I think it worked.
Bob .
Tops mate. How on earth did you get those no's on the zim ?
I think the weathering looks good, too easy as I know to over do it, that looks fine. Tools, nice texture on that jack, the bolts really pop with the wash, was that Indian ink as well?
