Rich, hi mate just caught up with this thread again and what you have done so far is excellent quality work beautiful scratch building as well.

oh that is great thank you so very much its a real help, as you do know the kits do get costly

and some time.what you think you get you dont, think we all know that feeling

well that would help alot with the makeup of roof and flooring have made the real ones,i wish

when i was younger i had off gone to work with my dad as he was a carpenter, as well before

he severed with his father

as you said plans and dimensions can be hard to find ever if you do google it

and this is a great help to me

the last few days with my spear time i have been reading through the threads and leaning

alot from them do try to say some ways i do things as well, if its any help at all.

the Ive you made is just fantastic and a very good lookim realy impressed with the work you

your right those prices are extreme 40 bucks or more for 1 ruined building i make almost a whole town for that kind of money

i got the chimp from WWW found it a couple of years ago.

always wanted to visit New Zealand after i met some Kiwi's in Bosnia '95

Well did some work on my new cobblestone street gave it some different colors and a big black wash

This has to dry now and then I start dry brushing with some oils.

Ground work came out pretty good so I can start dry brushing that to.

I know it's been said, but the last thing you need is practise! This is beautiful work Richi.

Hope you don't mind a little sidetrack, but Monica asked for some help with dimensions.

Monica, why not measure your own/parent's/friend's house? If you can't measure the height directly, measure the height of one layer of bricks with mortar then count the number of layers and multiply.

If you measure it in millimetres and divide your numbers by 35 that will give you the size in millimetres that you need for your 1/35 model.

yep your right with the dimension trick. I chaired my building plan for the house on page 3 so you can download them and I think if you got 1 you got all, more or less. Dimensions in scale are relative the eyes have a saying in the matter to I think.

Hi all,

here is a quick update,

Did some washes on the cobblestone street and the roof, some detail at the entrance road to the house, because it is damaged on the right side. Put some single stones on a little pile. Put in the front door.

And started with my street light pulled out some different lamp parts and put them together.

I think the result is ok made my LED lights these are 1,8mm ones. When the lamps are dry I can put the LED in it.

Hi all,

so bin a long day made a lot of little improvements

Starting by putting on some static grass. I used a homemade (couple of years ago) applicator, found the construction plans on the www works fine and at a cost of 4 bucks it is ok.

But it is not necessary to use, see CDW How to on building a diorama

‘’Great How to ’’.

First of all I masked the building before I started to do the grass because; I don’t like the grass getting everywhere. I used 2 shades static grass put it in the applicator and started.

Made a little road to the shed and masked that to. After I was finished I removed the masks.

Made the lamps, gave them a base coat and some green coat, then I dry brushed the little road the normal road and the lamps.

Painted some of the furniture with oils, trying to make it look wood.

This is stunning, I think you should do a 'how to' on your roof tiles, they look so real, it's amazing just how much light those little LED's give...

just court up on your build ,amazing work, hope to get in your stage one day

and take you gern for the mention of working out the scale, as planes or base

model to go can be hard to find,

really like the street lamps with the leds in them as well nice work,,were they a kit ?

or did your scratch build them as well ?

my one i sit and look at it for a long time but dont get around to doing much, think

im kind off lost with it

Hi all, well its been a while since I posted on this thread. The reason is that I am doing a test on how long the lights at the diorama stays on with 2 aa battery's:D

At the moment they are burning 32 days now.

The lamps are a scratch build of some tubing, Verlinden parts and some minimart parts

I wile post some pictures after the holidays.

nice to see you have added some lovly workmanship to it,just brillent ,

must off been some time working on the furniture and has come up very nicely ,

i guess you used a mold for the tile, which look very nice as you can get a lot off diffance shades when making them
