My first diorama. to go with my first model

I recently just finished my first model, a bf-109 so i thought why not make a diorama to go with it!

I am using a Citroen car and flak cannon as well as some luftwaffe figures from revell.

For the base i have bought some mdf and a woodland scenics basic set. Here i have covered the board with a grass mat and started trying my hand at a hardboard. cutting peices of wood to plank size. I will plonk these on and see what happens!!

I have also had a go at making a wire tree!! I don't know if the colour is right but think it looks tree like. Covered in plaster and painted with oil paints

Any advice would be appreciated!!

Don't be, the way your models look, you are going to nail the diorama too.

fiddly job putting foliage on. seems very one sided.
So are a lot of real trees, depending on the prevailing conditions. I think that it looks good :smiling3:

I forget who said this ,and it works very well, just use a wash-up kitchen sponge, that cheap ones that have 3 or 4

in a pack, and use a blender, with a bit of water in it, brake up the sponge into bits say about an 1ch , then hit the

button, if it dose not get pulled down and chopped just add, alittle more water, untill you see it getting chopped,

once its been chopped to how you like, take it out and mix some cheap dark,/med green ,as a watery mix, and

soak the sponge in it and and let dry,

so not really fine, but kind of clumpy, to your liking

hope this is of some help ;)

but i realy think that tree is great, maybe if your so so about it just trim it,

have a look at some bonsai,s
