Some of you know that I'm an architectural modelmaker. I've been doing a job recently that I don't get much of these days due to 3D printers. I used to do this more often but its usually easier to print them these days. We have a model with complex sculptures and we're makeing 3 copies of the same model for marketing purposes. I made masters from styrene and Magicsculpt with converted Preiser figures for a couple of the statues. I've made rubber moulds and have been casting copies in polyurethene resin. Here are some photos.

I may not get much call for this skill as 3D printers get more and more versatile, but I'll enjoy it while I can!

Hi Andy
Beautiful work. We are loosing so many skills in these modern times. A great shame too.

Phenomenal work Andy and l agree with Jim. Once the skills have been replaced with technology
the real knowledge and abilities will pass in a generation or two. Perhaps one could google it back!
Cheers Rick H.

Hi Monica,
I'm not sure what you're asking? You you want advice how to sculpt or are you asking for some of my mouldings? I only have male faces - no female.

The models won't be finished until the end of January, and then I'm not sure how appropriate it would be for me to post photos of them straight away? You can see the type of work we do, if you click the above link to 3DD's website.
(I hope that this isn'r considered self promotion - that isn't my aim Mods. I don't want to upset anyone.)
